SMU does it again! They landed their second top Illinois prospect this week as Bolingbrook High School power forward Ben Moore has committed to play at SMU.
“I chose SMU because I feel like it was the best fit for me and the best way to do what I want to do.”
The new staff led by legendary head coach Larry Brown, ace Chicago recruiter Jerrance Howard, and assistant coach Ulric Maligi have made major moves landing one of the state’s top power forwards in Moore as well as Proviso East star wing Sterling Brown.
The power forward is excited about his new coaching staff.
“My relationship with the coaches is really strong and I know they’re always trying to do what’s best for me.”
Moore is an athletic four man that had a great junior season followed by an outstanding summer on the travel team circuit with Team Rose. After July he quickly became one of the hottest commodities in the Midwest receiving multiple high major offers. In the end he chose SMU over Illinois and Colorado St.
