One of the most impressive prospects at the John Lucas Camp this past weekend was 6’9” power forward Carlton Bragg from Villa Angela St. Joseph’s High School in Ohio. The 2015 forward is long and lanky. He is a bouncy athlete that is active around the hoop.
Bragg was impressive with his perimeter skills including a sick cross over that he blew by several defenders with. His handles are at a very high level for his size. He displayed a nice looking perimeter shot that he knocked down consistently from mid-range and even hit a couple threes. Defensively he changes the game with his length. He is a good shot blocker and solid on ball defender.
He holds an offer from the Illinois. His lead recruiter is Illini assistant Dustin Ford who he has a good relationship with.
“He is a great guy.”
Bragg plans on taking a visit to see the Illini in the near future. He also holds an offer from West Virginia and liked what he saw when he visited there.
“They have a great practice facility.”
Louisville has also shown early interest in the sophomore. Bragg says he tries to pattern his game after Kevin Durant. They have a similar body type and Bragg shoots the ball very well for his size.
He ran with Ohio Basketball Club this past summer on the circuit.
