Jayson Tatum Talks Florida Offer

Chaminade High School (MO) freshman Jayson Tatum is one of the nation’s premier 2016 prospects.  He proved it once again this past Friday when he dropped 25 points on St. Louis’ other top program CBC.

Tatum is a skilled wing that is well-rounded.  He can score with a silky jumper and also has a great feel for the game.  On Sunday night he picked up his first offer and it is a big one courtesy of the Florida Gators.

“It just made me realize how blessed and grateful I am to only be 14 and get offers from the top schools in the nation.”

What does he like about Florida?

“The coach lets them play and that they get after it on defense with a lot of transition baskets.”

The part that makes this offer even more interesting is the fact that Chaminade’s two most famous alums are Bradley Beal and David Lee who both went to Florida before the NBA.  Does this make the Gators more intriguing?

“Yes it does because they both made it to where I would love to go and both went to Florida.  So yea it does make it more intriguing.”

It is in the very early stages of his recruitment, but some of the schools that have expressed interest include Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri.
