Trevor Lacey Headed To NC State

Alabama transfer Trevor Lacey has decided on North Carolina State as his new destination.

Lacey, a 6'3 guard, averaged 11.3 points and 3.2 assists per contest this past season as as sophomore at Alabama.

Lacey will sit out 2013-14 per NCAA rules and will then have two years of playing eligibility remaining.

Pittsburgh and Miami, which just landed Texas transfer Sheldon McClellan, were also in the mix for Lacey.

McClellan To Transfer To Miami

Texas transfer Sheldon McClellan has become the latest player to decide to become a Miami Hurricane.

McClellan, a 6'4 shooting guard, is known as a scorer and averaged 13.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest last year as a sophomore at Texas.

Miami adds McClellan to Angel Rodriguez (Kansas State) and Donnovan Kirk (DePaul) who already announced their intentions to transfer to Miami.  Kirk will be eligible immediately while Rodriguez will petition for a waiver to play right away.

Rick Carter Leaving Mizzou For Xavier

Rick Carter has decided to step down from his position as an assistant coach at Missouri to take on the same role at Xavier University.

Carter, who is known as a strong recruiter with ties throughout the Midwest, recently joined the staff at Missouri after a strong run at Western Michigan.

Carter takes the vacancy created at Xavier when Ashley Howard left for Villanova.

Anrio Adams Headed To Ohio

Kansas transfer Anrio Adams has decided to continue his playing career in the Mid-American Conference at Ohio University.

Adams, starred in high school at Seattle Rainier Beach (WA), and was considered among the top shooting guard prospects in the country for the 2012 recruiting class.

Adams was buried on the depth chart at Kansas and averaged just 1.1 points per game as a freshman.

Adams will have three years of playing eligibility remaining after sitting out 2013-14 per NCAA rules.

Rob Judson Resigns From ISU Staff


Rob Judson has decided to step down from his position as assistant coach at Illinois State University to pursue other professional opportunities.

Judson coached for a total of six years at ISU after previously being head coach at Northern Illinois University. 

Judson was a finalist last year for the head coaching vacancy when Tim Jankovich left to become associate head coach at SMU.

Judson will receive a $175,000 buyout of his contract.
